Metal For Mercy

Volunteer sound engineer
My first encounter with Metal For Mercy was as a musician — playing on stage with my band Charcoal Fire at one of their events. What immediately impressed me was the passion with which Florian and his wife Ina run the organization. They have created a platform that strengthens the local metal scene and gives bands the opportunity to truly showcase their music.
After our performance, I knew this was the kind of community I wanted to support. So, I offered Florian to help out as a sound engineer at some of their concerts — simply because I believe in what he and his team are doing for the scene.
As a trained event technician, I’ve gained extensive experience in the technical side of live events over the years. I understand how crucial good sound is to a band's performance — sometimes, the smallest details make all the difference. My goal is to provide the best possible conditions for artists, allowing them to focus entirely on their music.
So far, I’ve helped out once, but I’m already set to run sound for three more concerts this year. What impresses me most about Metal For Mercy is its longevity — this organization has been supporting bands for over 20 years. That’s why it was an absolute honor for me to perform with my band at their 20th-anniversary festival. Now, being part of the team and giving something back to this incredible community is truly rewarding.
Metal For Mercy is more than just an event — it’s a gathering of people who live and breathe metal. I’m excited to continue being part of this scene and to contribute in any way I can.
